JOURNAL 6

     My experience using Diigo has been kind of rough so far. I have been struggling to get into the class, my invitation never came through my email. I then tried adding the class and it is still not working. So, so far my experience has been kind of frustrating. I'm hoping to have this issue resolved soon, and then get more involved in my Diigo skills. 


    I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging. I think in my future classroom I will for sure use a blog to keep the parents and families up to date on what's happening in my classroom. I like how customizable you can make the blogging process. If you want to keep your flog short and sweet, you can do that but if you want it longer you can do that as well. I also love how formal or informal you can make it. Its all u to you!!


For me, another Web 2.0 tool I will use during my teaching career is YouTube. Especially during covid times, being able to record helpful videos for my students and them having access to them when they are at home I think will be very helpful. I will most review material, and videos on topics that they might be struggling with so they can practice at home. Also, if they are sick and miss something they will have the opportunity to watch a summary of it on my YouTube page.

      For my standards I chose 4th grade which is one of the grades I would be interested in teaching in the future. For my standard I chose LAFS.4.RI.3.7 which asks the students be able to interpret graphs or other  visual or auditorial elements and explain how it connects and contributes to the surrounding text. The technology used includes Prezi which is a presentation app, and make a graph which is an online graph maker, as well as PBS kids. Based off my current technology skill levels I feel I could successfully implement this is a classroom setting. Journal 8

 I really thoroughly enjoyed making my website. I thought it was fun and could be very helpful for my future teaching career. I will definitely have a website to keep the parents and family members of my students up to date with what we're doing in the classroom. I had to create a website for my English class but we used Wix instead, so I was familiar with website building this was just a different platform for me to use. I'm still unsure if I'm in. the right class because sometimes our class shows up and sometimes it doesn't.
