Copyright and Fair use, both very important topics especially in the education world. Copyright is basically a form of ownership and protection over an idea, writing, art, band, graphic, image, or just about anything else. The person who owns the copyright of the item owns all the rights to the item and need some sort of compensation for use of said item. Fair use was established when the copyright act came out, it allows users to copy items for educational purposes. In my classroom I will teach my students about citing anything they use off of the internet, and cite and give credit to the things that I didn't not create. I think this is the only fair way to do it, giving credit where credit is deserved.
